Job Purpose
To coordinate and monitor daily warehouse operational activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient warehouse operations in accordance with company procedures, inventory control requirements, and HSSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities and manpower arrangement.
- Ensure warehouse operations are carried out according to company SOP, work instructions, and operational requirements.
- Supervise receiving, storage, packing, loading/unloading, inventory movement, and delivery preparation activities.
- Ensure materials and products are properly identified, labeled, stored, and handled.
- Monitor stock movement and support inventory accuracy through proper documentation and system updates.
- Verify operational records, checklists, and warehouse documentation before submission to Supervisor.
- Monitor housekeeping and ensure warehouse areas are maintained in clean and orderly condition.
- Ensure warehouse equipment and tools are properly maintained and report any abnormality or breakdown.
- Support stock count, inventory verification, warehouse inspection, and audit activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Guide and support warehouse operators in daily operational activities.
- Coordinate and support interdepartmental warehouse activities when required.
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE)
- Ensure all warehouse personnel comply with HSSE requirements, company rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
- Conduct and participate in toolbox meetings, safety inspections, and warehouse walkabouts.
- Monitor safe handling of materials, equipment, and warehouse activities.
- Report and assist in investigation of unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, or accidents.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by warehouse personnel.
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to HSSE matters.
Job Requirements
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and warehouse documentation.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
- Forklift or reach truck operation experience/license is an added advantage.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or shift when required.
