Key Milestones
SSTCM was incorporated.
Commenced business in 2011 in the business of trading of O&G specialty chemicals.
Subsequently, we started to manufacture O&G specialty chemicals in our main plant located at our Puncak Alam Factory, where our main production facilities comprised of 1 reactor and 2 blend tanks with an annual capacity of approximately 4,100 tonnes and 9,800 tonnes respectively.
Secured our first sales order for our in-house formulated drilling fluid chemicals under our manufacturing segment and exported to Indonesia.
Secured our first sales order for production and refinery chemicals and exported to Canada.
Commenced business relationships with global operators within the O&G industry.
Entered into a master purchase agreement with global operator within the O&G industry and continued to cater clients in various regions including Asia Pacific (Australia, China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand), Middle East (Oman and Saudi Arabia), North America (USA) and Europe (UK).
Installed an additional reactor which increased our annual capacity from approximately 4,100 tonnes (1 reactor) to 7,400 tonnes (2 reactors).
Obtained ISO 9001:2015 and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 (currently known as ISO 45001:2018) certifications awarded by Bureau Veritas.
Obtained a grant from the Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit ("TERAJU"), which was then an agency under the Prime Minister's Department.
The grant is for the purchase of machinery and equipment for production capacity expansion.
SSTCM was registered with Petronas and we obtained our first Petronas licence under the SWEC code as a manufacturer of O&G specialty chemicals.
Obtained approval from the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") for 1 patent registration pertaining to our O&G production chemical namely sand agglomeration.
Obtained a grant under the Bumiputra Initiatives for Globalisation (B.I.G.) programme organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation ("MATRADE").
The grant is for the expansion of our O&G specialty chemicals manufacturing facilities.
Obtained approval from the USPTO for 3 improvement patents for our sand agglomeration.
Expanded our production facilities, including the installation of an additional 1 reactor, 2 blend tanks and 1 hybrid blend-reactor tank.
Upon the completion of the installation of the additional facilities in 2019, the annual capacity of our reactors increased from approximately 7,400 tonnes (2 reactors) to 10,700 tonnes (3 reactors), and the annual capacity of blend tanks increased from approximately 9,800 tonnes (2 blend tanks) to 16,300 tonnes (4 blend tanks).
In addition, the 1 hybrid blend-reactor tank has an annual capacity of approximately 4,900 tonnes upon the completion of installation in 2019.
Commenced business relationship with a global company involved in the
manufacturing, marketing and distribution of oil products.
Obtained a Market Development Grant from MATRADE, mainly for reimbursements of logistic costs for exporting Malaysian products.
Obtained a High Impact Programme 5 (HIP 5): O&G Initiative grant from SME Corporation Malaysia under the Programme for Enhancement of Strategic Sector and High Growth Enterprise (PRESTIGE).
Expanded our production facilities with the installation of an additional 2 blend tanks.
The annual capacity of our blend tanks increased from approximately 16,300 tonnes (4 blend tanks) to 19,500 tonnes (6 blend tanks), while the annual capacity of our 3 reactors and 1 hybrid blend-reactor tank remained at approximately 10,700 tonnes and 4,900 tonnes respectively.
Entered into an agreement with a catalyst manufacturer based in Denmark, Haldor
Topsoe, for the distribution of its refining catalysts, low temperature sulphur
adsorbents, mercury adsorbents and catalysts for the production of hydrogen,
ammonia and methanol to some subsidiaries of Petronas group in Malaysia.
Secured our first tolling service agreement with a national oil and gas company to process and manufacture graphene masterbatch using input materials and equipment provided by our customer.
Obtained a grant from SME Corporation Malaysia under the Bumiputera Enterprise Enhancement Programme (BEEP) for our Listing.
Expanded our production facilities with the installation of additional 2 new reactors
and 2 hybrid blend-reactor tanks.
The annual capacity of our reactors increased from approximately 10,700 tonnes (3 reactors) to 20,500 tonnes (5 reactors) and the annual capacity of our hybrid blend-reactor tanks increased from approximately 4,900 tonnes (1 hybrid blend-reactor tank) to 14,700 tonnes (3 hybrid blend-reactor tanks). The annual capacity of our 6 blend tanks remained at approximately 19,500 tonnes.
